We don't recommend our clients to eat meat during the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek.

- At higher elevations, as your digestion slows down, eating meat can cause stomach upset and constipation.

Practical Matters
Can I take a hot shower at the tea house?
Every tea house provides a hot shower for Rs. 200-300. In Langtang and Kyanjin, tea houses offer solar-heated hot water showers, which are much safer to use. And the rest of the tea houses along the trek provide gas water showers.
On the Gosaikunda route, however, you'll not get a hot water shower. The lodges at Lauribinayak and Deurali don't have hot water showers.
Do the tea houses provide safe drinking water?
Absolutely. All the tea houses in Langtang use safe and fresh drinking water.
Since the water contains earth minerals, it often causes stomachaches and other issues among first-timers in Nepal. Thus, we recommend that you use water purification tablets and water filters or boiled water.
Or, if you prefer drinking cold water without a water purification tablet, you can purchase mineral water bottles at the tea houses.
