Hence, for every flight to occur on time, airlines shift their flights to Manthali airport from April till the end of May.
There’s a downside to this as well. With all flights from Manthali, trekkers have to take a midnight drive from Kathmandu to Manthali. Most trekkers start driving around 1 am to take the flights in the morning. Many trekkers find it inconvenient.
Also, while returning from Lukla, the flight lands at Mathali airport. Trekkers take a 5-hour long private vehicle drive from Manthali to Kathmandu.
