Transportation

You’re to enjoy the honeymoon in Nepal, and it has to be a comfortable and private space. Thus, for personal space, comfort, and luxury, you’ll avoid the long-distance tiring bus drive. For example, you’ll avoid the drive to Pokhara, Chitwan, and Kathmandu. Instead, you’ll get flights connecting to each destination.

Here’s a list of transportation services included in the trip cost.

  • Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara
  • Flight from Pokhara to Chitwan
  • Flight from Chitwan to Kathmandu
  • Private jeep from Pokhara to trek starting point and back to Pokhara
  • All airport-to-hotel and hotel-to-airport transfers by private vehicles (taxis mostly)

Privacy along the tour

As a couple on their honeymoon, privacy is paramount. Thus, you’ll have total privacy and personal space throughout the tour.

Every accommodation comes with security and privacy. You’ll get a private room that’s accessible to you only.

Travel Insurance- A must!

Embarking on a tour to a new country can get smooth with travel insurance. On top, trekking in the Himalayas demands travel insurance with helicopter search and rescue coverage.

When you get altitude sickness, only a helicopter rescue can bring you to low altitude safely. And if you pay the helicopter rescue fee, it costs USD 4000-5000. And bearing this from your pocket won’t be feasible.

However, travel insurance with helicopter rescue coverage pays the rescue fee, which you don’t need to pay. Moreover, travel insurance compensates for injuries, hospitalization costs, loss and damage of personal stuff, and more.

We at NepTrek Adventures recommend you get travel insurance with helicopter evacuation coverage for a honeymoon tour in Nepal. After you book the trek with us, we kindly request you to provide us proof of your travel insurance policy.

Sauraha gets humid all year round. The best time to visit Chitwan is March, October, November, and all winter months, December to February. During these months, the temperature remains moderate with less humidity.

However, from May to September, it becomes extremely hot and humid with summer rain and temperatures around 40 ˚C.

Since it’s a humid place, you’ll need summer clothes during the 2 nights and 3 days visit. And if in winter, you’ll need a thermal fleece and warm clothes during some cold days.

Weather, Temperature, and Best Time

The honeymoon tour in Nepal, the one we have here, is best in Spring (March and April) and Autumn (October and November). Moreover, it is doable in winter months like December and January. However, with snowfall in February, it’ll be difficult to do the trek part.

These months are perfect for visiting Sauraha for the Chitwan Jungle Tour. The weather remains stable, utmost clear, and less humid. Thus, you’ll have a wonderful time in Sauraha, whether it’s a jungle safari on a jeep or relaxing in a pool.

However, for extreme hot and humid summer and freezing winter, we can combine some other trips, excluding trekking, to plan your honeymoon in Nepal. There are many best honeymoon destinations in Nepal, like Pokhara, Mustang, Kathmandu, and Bandipur.

The temperature at Annapurna Base Camp varies throughout the year. It’s warm in late Spring and all summer, but it gets cold in Autumn and freezes in winter.

The daytime temperature at Annapurna Base Camp in March and April averages 4-5 ˚C. However, it falls below freezing at night.

In the Autumn months, from September to November, the average daytime temperature at Annapurna Base Camp remains around 1-2˚C. The night-time temperature falls below -10˚C.

In summer, from June to August, the daytime temperature at Annapurna Base Camp averages 10-12˚C. Likewise, the nighttime temperature averages around 2-3˚C.

Thus, with proper winter clothing, you can complete the trek comfortably.

Sauraha is a year-round humid. Thus, on the lowest day, the temperature averages over 20˚C. In Summer, the temperature exceeds 40 ˚C.

May to September is the most humid, hot, and rainy month in Sauraha. However, starting from October, the temperature lowers but still averages over 20˚C.

Your honeymoon tour in Nepal will be in Autumn and the first two months of Spring due to the extreme temperature at Sauraha in other months. However, if you wish to visit cities like Pokhara and Kathmandu instead of Chitwan, we’ll organize this trip all year round.
